Differences Between Lite Site and Pro (API)
By managing the end-to-end platform for you, Visibly's Lite Site reduces overhead required to stand up and manage the vision test. As a result, the Pro (API) Integration is required when looking to have a deeper level of customization and control.
Control of Services by Integration Type
The table below outlines who controls each aspect of the experience depending on the integration type.
Lite Site | Pro (API) | |
---|---|---|
Revival Emails | Visibly | Partner |
International (Non-US) Region Access | Unavailable | Partner |
Order Management | User | Partner |
Payment Processing | Visibly | Partner |
Prescription Management | Visibly | Partner |
Redirect URL | Partner (Static) | Partner (Static, Dynamic) |
User Management | Visibly | Partner |
The core vision test experience is identical for both the Lite Site and Pro Integration.
Revival Emails
Lite
Visibly will send revival email campaigns to the User. The Partner can choose to enable or disable these emails but cannot edit the content.
Pro
A Pro Partner must manage their own marketing and revival email campaigns. Documentation on best practices can be found here.
International (Non-US) Region Access
Lite
The Lite Site is unavailable for international use.
Pro
The Partner can pass the ISO-3166-2 code for their region when creating the session. The test will dynamically set the available test type and (for certain regions) language based on the regulations and standards in the area.
Payment Processing
Lite
The User pays for their vision test through the Lite Site. Payment cannot be forwarded to the Partner.
Pro
The Partner can offer the vision test as a product on their site and charge the User through their own payment platform.
Prescription Management
Lite
The User receives their Rx via email when dispensed. The User can then access their prescriptions at any time through the Lite Site. The Partner can retrieve the prescription via Webhook or email to automate order processing and fulfillment
Pro
The User receives their Rx via email when dispensed. The Partner can retrieve the prescription via API, Webhook, or email to automate order processing and fulfillment.
Order Management
Lite
The Lite Site can be configured to either operate as an Acuity Screener Service (not prescriptive) OR an Acuity Renewal service (prescriptive). If Acuity Renewal has been configured, the User selects if they want to renew a Glasses or Contacts Rx.
Pro
The Partner passes the order type at time of session creation.
Redirect URL
Lite
Visibly can configure a static URL that the User will return to upon exiting or completing the test.
Pro
Partners can provide a static URL that the User will return to upon exiting or completing the test. Alternatively, Partners can pass a redirect URL through the API during authentication which can direct the User dynamically based on returned query parameters contained within the redirected url.
User Management
Lite
The User is required to authenticate through a Visibly-managed portal.
Pro
Authentication is managed through the API and is invisible to the User. The user key used when creating a user session can match the unique keys in the Partner's system as long as the identifier is PHI-compliant.
